Taking The Leap - Part 2

Most things in life are easier today than they used to be.   We like easy, and the words "it's easy" makes for an attractive sales pitch.

But when Jesus talked to the crowds about discipleship, he made things hard.   He said things like "Whoever does not hate their father and mother... cannot be my disciple."

Why does Jesus seem to make this journey more difficult?   Why not make it easy, and get more disciples?   Isn't that what he wants... more disciples?
